+ How is life coaching different from therapy?
Traditionally, a therapist focuses more on the past and helps clients figure out why something happened. Alternatively, a coach helps clients focus on the present and future, how to get from where they are now to where they want to go. Therapists also sometimes help clients manage mental illness which coaches do not.
+ How is coaching different from consulting?
Consultants are experts in certain fields and come to their clients with answers, telling them what to do. Coaches also have specializations, but their real expertise is in the coaching process. The coach sees the client as the expert and knows they have the answers within themselves, no matter the situation. Similar to a consultant, a coach may suggest new ideas based on their experience, knowledge and intuition, but, with coaching, it is the client who is in control.
+ How do I find a life coach?
A quick internet search will get you started. Specifying the type of coach you are looking for (“Entrepreneur Coach,” “Life Coach,” or “Relationship Coach”, for example) will increase your chances of finding a good fit. You can also look coaches up by location, for example, “Life Coach Vancouver” but keep in mind that a lot of coaching is not done in person so location may not be relevant. Coaching directories, like Noomii, are a good option to search many coaches in one place.

+ How can I pay for coaching services?
It is preferred that payment is made via email transfer if within Canada. Visa is also accepted at Eagle Point Coaching.
+ Are payment plans available?
A monthly payment plan is available for all coaching programs.
+ Do you have a client agreement?
I have a client agreement that outlines the agreement between the coach and the client. The agreement will be discussed and signed before the first session.
+ What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel or reschedule a session with at least 48 hours notice. If less than 48 hours notice is given, you may be charged the applicable fee of the session.

+ What happens during a Life Coaching session?
During a Life Coaching session, we start by checking in and following up with your action plan. Next, we will determine what you want to work on in the session and then we will dive in. We will close the session by reviewing the action plan and seeing what needs to be completed next to keep you moving forward with your goals.

+ How often are sessions held?
Some clients prefer to meet once a week and others every two weeks. This often depends on their schedule and how much time they want in between sessions for reflection and task completion.

+ What is the duration of the coaching programs?
Coaching programs typically go for 3 to 6 months in duration.

+ What if I want to stay on once my coaching program ends?
Clients can complete a new client agreement once the original coaching program ends to continue with their coaching sessions.
